FACILITATORS AND GUIDES OF THE HEALING FESTIVAL 2025
Yael Decklebaum (ISR)
Women of the World, Unite!
Inspired by her encounter with women's movements and recent global events, Yael began writing songs specifically for women. Her latest album is titled Women of The World Unite. In addition to The Mothers, the album also features singers such as Joss Stone, Zap Mama, Nikki Glaspie, Amyra León, and others. All these women have united as the musical forefront of a women's movement that aims to change the world. In 2016, her song Prayer Of The Mothers, originally written to support the Women Wage Peace movement, gained significant virality on social media. In the video, thousands of Palestinian and Israeli women united in a march of hope through the desert sands of the Middle East. This visionary song later became an international peace anthem. Shared by millions, it inspired women worldwide to come together and take action.
Like Joan Baez and Pete Seeger, Yael has been recognized as a pioneering musical activist of our time. The streets are her stage, and marching women are her audience. Over the past two years, Yael has led various women’s marches in more than 10 countries—across Europe, Asia, America, and Africa. Yael performs across Israel, Europe, and the USA, where she increasingly focuses on inspiring positive change and supporting non-violent communication between cultures in conflict, emphasizing the necessity of female leadership.
