Rora Varinawa (BR)

How does the female voice of the Amazon jungle sound?

Music, singing, and art play a fundamental role in the traditional cultures of the Amazon. They carry stories, connect generations, and hold deep spiritual power. Rora Varinawa is one of those who bring this power to the world.

Rora Varinawa is the mother of two boys, the daughter of Rumeyá and the great spiritual leader of her people, Kaku.

As an artisan, student of plants, and singer, she bridges the feminine energy of her tribe with the beauty of traditional Kene patterns, which adorn the bodies and artistic creations of the indigenous people of the Amazon.

She is one of the few women among her people who speak Portuguese, travel the world, and hold a leadership role in her village. Through her voice, art, and deep connection to tradition, she offers a unique perspective on female strength and connection to nature.

She comes to the Healing Festival together with her husband, Paka Kamãnawa, to share the music, stories, and spiritual heritage of their Noke Koi tribe.
