FACILITATORS AND GUIDES OF THE HEALING FESTIVAL 2025
Paka Kamãnawa (BR)
What if Amazonian melodies could recharge your energy and bring inner peace?
Music and singing play a vital role in Amazonian cultures - they are not just a form of expression but also a tool for connecting with nature, the community, and one's inner self. Paka Kamãnawa is one of those who not only preserve this tradition but also bring it into the modern world.
Born on the Gregório River, Noke Koi indigenous land, Paka is a leader of the Kamãnawa Clan. At the age of 7, he began studying sacred plants through the teachings of Rumeyá Koshti, who is today one of the oldest Noke Koi shamans alive.
Paka has deep knowledge of the traditional songs of his people and is the founder of Kamãyura, a group dedicated to studying the sacred songs of his tribe. He translates them into modern musical forms, blending them with instruments such as the guitar and djembe.
The Noke Koi people are an indigenous Amazonian tribe living in the Acre state of Brazil. Among the significant elements of their traditions are Kene body paintings, which serve as both spiritual and protective symbols.
Through his work, Paka embodies healing power, joy, sincerity, humility, and gentleness - values he passes on through his music and teachings. For about 4 years, he has been traveling outside his village to represent his family in work around Brazil and Europe.
Come to the Healing Festival and experience the voice of the young generation of the Noke Koi tribe.
