FACILITATORS AND GUIDES OF THE HEALING FESTIVAL 2026

Dorrie Joy (UK)

"Wherever you come from is a holy place."
— Dorrie Joy

When Dorrie Joy creates, she does not just produce a painting or an object. She opens up a space where people can once again feel part of the Earth and their lineage.

Dorrie is an internationally renowned artist, creator of beauty, guardian of altars, and ceremonial guide. Her work combines visual art, craft, ritual, and the spoken word. She teaches traditional crafts and ancient skills as a deliberate path to healing the soul, restoring a sense of belonging, and reconnecting with ancestors.

She learned to paint primarily on her own, with formal training in literature and ceramics. For nearly thirty years, she has been learning in close contact with indigenous women and elders who have initiated her into ancient forms of craft and ceremony. Her paintings are part of private collections and public spaces, and her ceremonial work is respected around the world.

She lives and works in southwest England. She is the mother of three children and grandmother of two grandchildren. Her work is based on sustainability, reciprocity, and a deep relationship with the Earth.

Everything she creates is a living love song dedicated to our planet and the beauty of the life we share on it.

Come, be the fruit & the harvest, be the nectar & the dream, tend hope & possibility, with all that you are, come & be, nurture your heart & creativity, your unique gifts & talents, the blessings that you bring, as you are, while your heart is still beating and life dreams within you, come sing.
