How to Keep the Sacred Fire in Our Lives?

Matteus Andrade has dedicated his life to studying ancient plant medicines. He has undergone various initiations and teachings to understand traditional healing practices. He shares this ancient wisdom about life, medicine, and art. Every year, he spends months studying in the Amazon. He passes on indigenous culture and chants to help keep these traditions alive.

  • For the past ten years, he has studied directly within the tradition of the Pano language family from the Amazon rainforest, primarily with spiritual leaders from the Huni Kuin, Noke Koi, Yawanawa, Ashaninka, and Shipibo tribes.
  • He founded the natural school Instituto Nikaya.
  • He organizes retreats and ceremonies for spiritual leaders and healers from the Amazon in São Paulo, Brazil.
  • He leads his ceremonies and perceives Rapé ceremonies as ancient practices connected to the path of self-knowledge and discipline with authenticity and a respectful approach. During the ceremonies, chants and prayers from Amazonian lineages are heard. The purpose of using the medicine is for purification, cleansing the body and mind, and bringing protection. The goal is transformation, grounding, and deeper clarity of being,
